Having not used a grass strimmer before, I researched the range and this one had good reviews. Lawsons were selling it at a very reasonable price. The instruction manual was not very helpful but I worked it out and it worked well. Quite lightweight and not too noisy. It edged the lawn really well and managed to cut through overgrown grass.

This is a good quality mesh with a metal ring in the centre and a good price at £5- I bought it to replace the second filter in my Frieling French press which is 65mm wide, so this Bodum mesh fits nicely into the slightly larger first filter in the Frieling press.
I started using this for a reliable mead yeast, but now use it for nearly all my brewing as it's so good and very tolerant of temperature fluctuations
