In 1985 the first Global Kitchen knives were designed by Japanese visionary Komin Yamada. His intention was to create a wide range of new knives that were quite frankly, groundbreaking. He did this by using only the finest materials he could find and the most up to date techniques to produce them. This new line of kitchen knives were designed for both professional and novice chefs. Their comfortable, easy to handle concept would meet the many demanding needs of kitchens everywhere.
Over the years, Global have advanced a comprehensive range and the original series encompasses the largest number of over 150 knives. There has since been two more ranges developed to compliment the original series, incorporating high tech methods with advanced materials that boast 3 ply designs and thicker blades for improved strength and weight.
